CHILE
We packed our bags, said goodby to our friends, mom, kneus and our dog and we we’re off to the airport. The plan is visiting our Dad in Florida, get over the jetlag and fly on to Chile. After spending some nice hot days in Florida we we’re off to Chile. The flight started of with some delays and finished with a detour to Conception befor arriving in Santiago. In Santiago Sonja and Sebas were ready to pick us up and drive us to the mountains. After 40 hairpin turns we finally arrived in Farallones, a little place under Valle Nevado, where we would stay untill the World Cup started.
Farallones is a little town with tiny houses and a lot of dogs running around. We stayed in a little refugio with some locals. The refugio was not so nice but the view made up for it! The sunset is so beautiful there, looking out on the mountains and Santiago.
The first night we were already invited to a BBQ where we ate some really good meat and drunk the drink of Chille: Pisco.
The first day we went snowboarding in El Colorado (the slopes that belong to Farallones) and it was killing. Because you’re up so high you feel your legs get tired so fast.
The next day we walked down to the main road up to Valle Nevado and hitch hiked our way up. Valle Nevado looks like a french skifactory there are two hotels and two other buildings, that’s it. The slopes are very nice and its pretty big. There is a cool park, pipe and a boardercross track. The sun was buring all day long and we rode the whole day so we thaught that we deserved a bier. ;)
We met a brasilian girl who rides BX and she told us about a nice place called Pucon that also has a park and stuff. Because we wanted to see more of this beautiful country we decited to go. So one day later we we’re on a bus…
You’ll hear how awesome Pucon is the next update!
Seeeeee Ya
