Update till 16 / 01 / 07

I came back from Whistler and it was amazing!! So much snow!! We went cat boarding on an epic snow day. I’d never ridden so much powda. We built a kicker and we got some really cool shots that week.
The day after I came back, I took my grandpa and his car (hihi) to Switzerland. After being sick for a week but still having a super Christmas with my family, some friends came to visit us and we celebrated the New Year quite well ;).
On 6 January I took off to the Dutch championships in Grindelwald. I could stay in the Protest house again so that was really chill. After a day of skiing with Anne-fleur (skiing is sooooo much fun hihihi) we celebrated the start of the Dutch Champs. On Tuesday we took off to Saas-fee were the half pipe contest was being held on Wednesday. The wind was blowing so hard during the contest that boards flew away and you had to drop in between gusts of wind. Anyway the competition went really well for me (although still missing some style in the pipe) and I ended up 2nd and Anne-fleur could prolong her Dutch title.
With the big air (long in run / small jump / flat or no landing) we struggled through the wind again. I managed to take the first place and prolonged my Dutch title on the big air.
The boarderX followed the next day and because I went knock out last year I wanted to ride good. I ended up with the fastest qualification time but you never know in a boarderX. It was really close between Eva Bakker and me but Eva just beat me by half a board and she also could prolong her Dutch title.
After coming home for 3 days and seeing that Britt was doing really well > walking without crutches and starting swimming, I’m off for about 6 weeks riding boarderX competitions and a couple of freestyle events. I’ll try to update you guys soon.
